The Brandon SDA Personal Ministries is dedicated to capturing a vision for service and being the hands and feet of Jesus in our community.
The Sandwich Ministry was established to provide hunger relief as a testament of God's love to people who are hungry. Each week members of our congregation faithfully make sandwiches, assemble sack lunches and carry them to the homeless.
Nursing Home Ministry
Held every 4th Sabbath from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Held quarterly, church members engage in acts of service in our local community. Our first Service Sabbath of 2019 was done in conjunction with Global Youth Day, March 16th. Following our monthly fellowship luncheon, we hit the streets passing our door hangers about our radio station to parts of our listening area. Our radio station is promoting the gospel and ministering 24/7! We had a great turn out as many reached out and let others know about this awesome resource in our community!
During our Service Sabbath on June 8th, we assembled 130 sandwich lunches for the homeless and distributed them to those in need after church.
On October 12th, we collected, sorted, and organized supplies for hurricane victims.
We will kick off our first Service Sabbath of 2020 on March 7th. We will be making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and assemble 150 bag lunches for the homeless in Harmony Hall from 10:00-11:00 a.m. We ask church members to donate snacks for the bags.
Community Thanksgiving Dinner
Held annually on Thanksgiving Day, our FREE Thanksgiving Dinner was established to make sure nobody in our community is alone or hungry on this holiday. This event runs from 11a.m. to 1p.m.
